rfc791.ORG's web-based fileshare and mail services have been consolidated
under one semi-custom single-signon site: the Userland. Additionally, we've
added the ability to browse and search your own home directory. Upload
capability is being considered, and the ability to attach files from your
home directory and the fileshare, etc, is being pondered.
Access to rfc791.ORG's Userland requires proper SSL configuration and also
requires that the CACert root certificate be installed in your web browser.
This is because:
I don't want any more passwords transmitted in the clear. Safely use
our services in public wifi hotspots!
I'm not paying for some hokey certificate authority to bless my server
certificate. CACert is free, but comes with the (minimal!) hassle of
requiring all users to install the certificate themselves. Really, it's
quite easy to do.
This is, by far, not the only web site to use CACert as a certificate
authority. Having installed CACert's root certificate, you can use all
those sites too. You might already have the root certificate installed
because of one of them.
I can't tell if these requirements are met, as you have disabled Javascript,
so you'll have to use your own judgement.
Directions on how to install CACert's root certificate into your browser can be found here.
When you've gotten that out of the way, or if you are very sure my script got it wrong, you can go straight into the userland here.
